These vintage Safari chairs, designed by Karin Mobring for IKEA in the 1970s, are a perfect blend of simplicity and timeless design. The solid pine frames have developed a rich patina over the years, adding warmth and depth to their clean, angular lines.
I’ve updated them with new upholstery in a beautiful olive green Knoll fabric, giving them a fresh, modern edge while staying true to their understated charm. The textured fabric brings a cozy, organic feel that pairs beautifully with the rustic character of the wood.
Perfect for a reading nook, living space, or anywhere you want a touch of effortless style, these chairs are both functional and full of personality. Sold as a pair, they’re a rare find for those who appreciate thoughtful design with a story to tell.
Dimensions: 26.5"W x 24" D x 28" H
Condition: Gently aged frames with minor wear; newly reupholstered for a fresh, updated look. The majority of our pieces are vintage, so they are in a pre-loved condition. They show signs of wear and use, and we are drawn to those qualities about them. The history and soul that come with age are what make them so unique. Please keep that in mind when choosing vintage items from our shop.
